Omega 6 Fatty Acid

Omega 6 Fatty Acid - IC Fitness Club

Omega 6 fatty acids are the major source of fatty acid present in our diet today.

Omega 6 Fatty acid are the type of polyunsaturated fatty acid, means more than 1 carbon atoms are unsaturated and have double bond.

Omega 6 fatty acids are derived from sunflower, soy, corn oils, sesame etc.

To derive these fatty acids companies compress the seeds at high pressure to extract the oil from them and later the oil is heated at high temperature.

These processes damage the fatty acid chain which releases the free radicals which can cause even cancer in the body.

Unsaturation at Carbon6 and Carbon7 and Carbon9 and Carbon10 make the fatty acid chain weaker and heat sensitive.

these free radicals cause inflammation in the body that may harm or destroy the body structure.
